I asked Nicole to model for me because I wanted a vast variety of women for my portfolio. She loves her images, and so do I. I think she’s a great spokeswoman for curvy girls who may be afraid to get saucy in front of the camera. Here is her Q&A.
Q: How did you feel before the shoot?
Extremely nervous and doubtful that I would be able to pull it off.
Q: Why did you want to do a boudoir shoot?
It is on my bucket list. And I wanted to do this for my husband-to-be. He loves me more than I could have ever imagined and is always telling me and showing me how beautiful he thinks I am. I thought this would be a great wedding gift to him.
Q: What were your main concerns?
Like most women, I was concerned about my weight and how it would appear on camera.
Q: How did you feel during the shoot?
I felt pretty good in the sense that I was able to calm the nerves and produce some great shots. After seeing some of the digitals during the shoot, it made me realize that there is a sexy being in this body, no matter the size.
After seeing your photos…
Q: How did you feel after seeing the photos?
The photos were awesome. They were tastefully done and accentuated the right areas. Kinda proud moment and a sense of accomplishment.
Q: How has your life been transformed, if at all?
The shoot made me realize that beauty comes from within in the moments that you are unsure of yourself. Exposing the vulnerable side and feeling beautiful at the same time was not what I had expected, however that was the end result. The inner diva came out a bit and made me realize I really don’t care what the social norm is, nor will I ever conform to the socially acceptable image of skin and bones. It’s not me and it never will be. I am beautiful just the way I am and hey, there is just a little more of me to love!
