Rosa is one of the sweetest, kindest women I’ve ever met. She always puts herself last and takes wonderful care of her husband and three children. She had had her twins only four months before doing her boudoir session. Her purpose for doing it was partly as a gift to her husband, but mostly to celebrate her body as is, the body God gave her, the body who birthed her beautiful children. I’m so thankful that I got to work with Rosa. Seeing how nervous she was, then seeing her overcome her fears and be brave was a huge inspiration to me. I’ve always struggled with body image issues, so I completely understood where Rosa was coming from. Thanks to her, I can be brave too!
She was kind enough to answer a few questions for me, so here is how she feels about the process and the results of her boudoir session:
Q: What were your reasons for doing a boudoir session?
A: I was interested in doing a boudoir session for an anniversary gift for my husband and also I recently turned 40. So I wanted this to be a gift for him and really for myself.
Q: What were your greatest fears about the boudoir photos; what specifically were you worried about showing?
A: My greatest fear about the session is that I would turn out looking awfully fat. I was very concerned about showing my mid section but Dawn worked with me on that and really understood my concern.
Q: How did you feel before the session, during planning?
A: Planning and shopping for the session was the easiest and most fun. Dawn was very good at giving ideas for clothing and shoes and always easy to reach. I wasn’t too nervous until the day of the session.
Q: How did you feel during the session?
A: During the session I was very nervous, but Dawn was always working with me giving me lots of positive feedback and to me it seemed very genuine on her part because there were a few times when I thought I looked terrible!
Q: How do you feel now that you’ve seen your images?
A: The images turned out great! I never thought I could look that sexy! My husband loved them! I couldn’t be happier! If anyone is thinking they might want to do this, give it a try. You won’t regret it. Thank you Dawn!
