Modesto Boudoir, Q&A ~ Angela

Angela was kind enough to do a question and answer with me regarding her boudoir experience. Here are her lovely answers. Enjoy!

Q: Why did you want to do a boudoir session?
A: I have always wanted to do a boudoir shoot but I have never been one who has been comfortable with my weight. Having recently lost almost 50 pounds I knew what better way to capture such a accomplishment and give a gift to myself!

Q: What were your main obstacles emotionally while planning for the session? What were your fears?
A: The idea of getting half naked in a room with someone you’ve never met can be nerve racking for anyone. I’ve always had major body issues, so the thought of standing in front of a camera lens with all your flaws on display can be hard for someone. One of my fears was that I wasn’t going to like how I looked in the pictures; that I was going to look “too fat.”

Q: How was your experience working with me during your session?
A: When I arrived for my shoot all those feelings I was feeling started to fade away. Once my hair and makeup was done and I was seeing it all come together I was excited for the photo shoot. You made me feel comfortable in my skin and to embrace my body, that you don’t have to be a size 2 to do a boudoir shoot.

Q: How do you like your photos?
A: I love my photos!! To see myself in another light can be so empowering. I discovered parts of my body that I didn’t like before that are pretty awesome.

Q: How do you FEEL now that you’ve done the session and have seen all your photos?
A: After seeing all my photos I’m so glad I stepped out of my comfort zone and did the photo shoot. Seeing how the pictures turned out and seeing how my hard work has payed off with my new body was such a rewarding experience. Stalking the mail man around town the morning of my session for my corset was well worth it.
