Shelly did this boudoir session as a gift for her husband, and it was a huge success, bringing him to tears. She was kind enough to answer some questions for me. If you’re interested in doing a boudoir session, her answers will really help you!
Q: Why did you want to do a boudoir session?
A: I wanted to give my husband a gift that no one else had ever given him. Something to thank him for making me feel beautiful every day.
Q: What were your reservations about doing a boudoir session?
A: Like many women I have body image issues. I’ve lost 40lbs but still see that same body when I look in the mirror.
Q: How was your experience with Dawn Kelly Photography
A: I could not have been more comfortable during this process. From the first email, to the hour she spent with me on the phone getting to know me, the session (which felt like a friend taking the photos), all the way through the ordering and pick up. She has a way of making you relax and enjoy the experience.
Q: How do you feel now that you’ve seen your photos? How did this experience change the way you view yourself?
A: The quality of her work is amazing but seeing myself in those photos gave me a glimpse at the woman my husband sees and loves. I’ve gone back and looked at the pictures and could not be happier with the final results.
Q: How does your husband like his gift?
A: My husband was brought to tears when I presented his album. I took him back to where we had our first date. He was most touched by the photos where I am wearing the shirt he wore for our wedding. He said Dawn’s work was fantastic and the subject was breathtaking.
Shelly and her husband love to ride his motorcycle, so wearing her chaps added sexiness and personality to her boudoir photos.
