My New Old Polaroid & Why Mark Was Wrong

The first time I told Mark I found a vintage Polaroid on Etsy I wanted, the conversation went something like this:

“You do not need to start this. I’m not carrying it!”

“I’ll carry it myself at weddings!”

“YEAH RIGHT! NO! You do NOT need a Polaroid! They take forever to use!”

“YOU’RE NOT THE BOSS OF DAWN KELLY PHOTOGRAPHY! I’M THE BOSS OF DAWN KELLY PHOTOGRAPHY!!!”

About a week later I bought one. I got the Polaroid 440 Land Camera and I’m IN LOVE!!!

I think I did pretty well for my first time! The first shot was way too dark, but the next two looked great! I LOVE the vintage look of the shot. SWOOOOON!!!

It’s super easy to use (thanks to YouTube) and it only takes 20 seconds for the photo to develop. Like any film medium, you have to understand light so you set the camera correctly. I’ve been shooting film for 20 years, so this is easy for me. I’ve been wanting to do something SUPER creative at weddings, and this is the perfect thing. I have color and black and white film to play with. Stay tuned because I’m doing a creative shoot tomorrow and I’ll be using this camera!!!

Oh how fun! I've had a 600 polaroid for years, but my film finally started to go. Just bought some new impossible film and I can't wait to try it out!
